Daegu City Accepts Applications for 'Excellent Quarantine' Restaurants... 200 Locations Selected for 'Promotional Support' A model quarantine-compliant restaurant in the Daegu area.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 26th that it will form a citizen evaluation group to actively encourage participation in the 'Mask WearGO' campaign to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and will begin selecting 'Excellent Quarantine Dining Establishments' targeting general and snack restaurants.

The citizen evaluation group will conduct on-site evaluations on seven items: ▲employee mask wearing ▲posting of mask-wearing notices ▲verbal guidance for customers to wear masks ▲provision of hand sanitizer ▲regular disinfection of tables and other areas ▲ventilation of business premises ▲provision of hand soap (or hand sanitizer) in restrooms, selecting 200 establishments.

Establishments selected as excellent will receive benefits such as promotion on the Daegu Food website operated by Daegu City and support with quarantine supplies like masks.

General and snack restaurant operators wishing to be evaluated can submit an application form to the Daegu City Hygiene Policy Division by November 20. Detailed information regarding application and selection can be found on the Daegu City website under notices and announcements.

Kim Jae-dong, Director of the Daegu City Citizen Health Bureau, said, "Although these are difficult times due to COVID-19, we thank restaurant owners and employees for their efforts to prevent infectious diseases. We hope that the selection of excellent Mask WearGO dining establishments will serve as an opportunity to establish a culture of voluntary quarantine management."
