Kim Jong-in Visits Lee Kun-hee's Funeral Hall: "He Made Great Contributions to Elevating Korea's Status"

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] On the 26th, Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, visited the funeral hall of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee and stated that Chairman Lee made great contributions to raising South Korea's status in the international community.


On the same day in the afternoon, Chairman Kim visited the funeral hall at Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where Chairman Lee's funeral was held, saying, "When I was the Chief Presidential Secretary for Economic Affairs, I met (Chairman Lee) frequently," and emphasized, "Since the 1990s, looking at the overall industry of our country, he made remarkable achievements in turning Samsung Electronics' semiconductors and smartphones into world-renowned brands."


He continued, "Because he had a creative mind, he greatly contributed to raising South Korea's status in the so-called industrial international market today."
