[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital announced that Go Gilsuk, CEO of Suwan Central Hospital (24th graduate of Chosun University College of Medicine), recently donated 100 million KRW as a development fund for the construction of a new hospital building.
CEO Go is an alumnus of Chosun University College of Medicine and has served as the CEO of Suwan Central Hospital as well as an outpatient orthopedic professor at Chosun University College of Medicine.
The donation ceremony was attended by CEO Go of Suwan Central Hospital, Chosun University Hospital Director Jeong Jonghun, and about 50 faculty and staff members.
CEO Go said, “I have pledged development funds three times including this one for the advancement of Chosun University and Chosun University Hospital,” adding, “I hope that through the construction of the new hospital building, the pride of Chosun University alumni will be enhanced and better medical services can be provided.”
Director Jeong said, “Although all hospitals are facing difficulties due to COVID-19, I sincerely thank you for making such a significant decision for the development of your alma mater,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that the new hospital building becomes a source of pride for all alumni, carrying on CEO Go Gilsuk’s will.”
Meanwhile, CEO Go Gilsuk has received commendations from the Minister of Health and Welfare, the Commissioner of the National Fire Agency, the Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, and the Director of the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office’s Excellence Award. He has also contributed to improving employment and regional medical standards, receiving the Presidential Award as one of Korea’s Top 100 Excellent Companies.
