Prime Minister Chung said, "To all public officials who gave up their weekends and could not properly rest even during Chuseok, thank you very much for your hard work," and expressed gratitude to "the ruling and opposition lawmakers and their aides who sharply pointed out government policies and proposed alternatives."
He mentioned, "We will boldly correct what needs to be fixed from the people's perspective and actively seek help from the National Assembly where cooperation is needed," adding, "In the crisis phase of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), cooperation is required rather than political strife."
He also added, "As Prime Minister, I will respond to the National Assembly's demands with a more humble attitude."
