Daegu Arboretum, 'Chrysanthemum Exhibition' Distributed Across 27 Locations... "Heal with the Scent of Autumn"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Arboretum announced on the 23rd that from the 26th to November 15th, for three weeks, 15,000 diverse chrysanthemum works will be exhibited in a dispersed manner across 27 major urban locations.

This year's Daegu Arboretum Chrysanthemum Exhibition will be held in a significantly reduced scale and dispersed across multiple locations to prevent community infection and resurgence of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The exhibition sites include the arboretum, City Hall (Annex), Dongdaegu Station Plaza, National Debt Repayment Movement Memorial Park, Sincheon Riverside and 14 major parks, as well as health centers in 8 districts and counties, totaling 27 locations.

At Daegu Arboretum, a chrysanthemum walking path has been created to soothe the hearts of citizens exhausted by COVID-19, and at City Hall (Annex), a tree model symbolizing 'Greening Daegu' and an otter model symbolizing Clean Daegu are exhibited. At Dongdaegu Station Plaza, a large-scale work titled 'Dragon' expressing the spirit of Daegu is displayed, providing various attractions for visitors and citizens of Daegu.

Additionally, at the National Debt Repayment Movement Memorial Park, a 5-meter-high 'Cheonma' model is exhibited, representing Daegu's soaring spirit based on the spirit of the National Debt Repayment Movement. At Sincheon Riverside, chrysanthemum works harmonized with nature such as elephants, squirrels, and mushrooms are showcased.

Lee Cheon-sik, Director of Daegu Arboretum, said, "This chrysanthemum exhibition is held with the safety of citizens as the top priority, dispersing visitors who would concentrate at the arboretum throughout the entire city of Daegu. We hope that citizens, exhausted by the long period of COVID-19, can find comfort and rest in their daily lives along with the scent of autumn chrysanthemums."
