Haman-gun, Safety Inspection of Chartered Buses During Autumn Outing Season

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 23rd that it will conduct safety inspections of charter buses in anticipation of an increase in charter bus operations during the autumn travel season due to the recent easing of social distancing measures.

The inspection will continue until the 15th of next month. It will focus on checking compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, the use of electronic entry logs, and the completion of manual logs for all charter buses in the jurisdiction.

In addition, joint inspections will be conducted with Gyeongnam Province, the police station, and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. During the joint inspections, the maintenance status of vehicles such as tires and brakes, as well as compliance by transportation workers, will be checked at major charter bus departure and arrival points within the jurisdiction to ensure safe travel during the holiday season.

A Haman-gun official stated, "As charter bus operations increase, the risk of accidents also rises, so we will conduct thorough inspections to prevent safety accidents caused by negligence in vehicle management and do our best to reduce traffic accidents in the area."
