[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Na Kyung-won, former floor leader of the Liberty Korea Party, stated on the 23rd, “During yesterday’s Education Committee audit, Democratic Party lawmakers spent the entire day mentioning me and my child as a diversion regarding the children of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk and Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae,” adding, “They even suggested calling me as a witness for the audit, and the People Power Party also proposed this to the Democratic Party. However, the Democratic Party reportedly got startled and refused.”

On the same day, Na posted on Facebook, “Why can’t they call me? What are they afraid of?” and said, “If they cannot call me directly to ask questions and only continue to make statements that defy reason and common sense, they should stop now. Otherwise, please call me to the remaining comprehensive Education Committee audit sessions. I will explain everything in detail.”

Na emphasized, “Yesterday, for the first time in a while, I was able to hear a refreshing statement from Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl. Nam Bu-ji Prosecutor Park Soon-chul expressed his intention to resign, saying that politics has overshadowed the prosecution,” adding, “This was a glimpse of some righteous prosecutors who have been struggling to withstand the ‘prosecution takeover’ that I have repeatedly spoken about throughout last year.”

Na criticized, “Minister Choo’s exercise of investigative command authority is an unacceptable abuse of power. The public is well aware of that obvious intention,” and said, “It is truly pitiful to see ruling party lawmakers who are desperate to defend Minister Choo and protect the regime. No matter how much they are the ruling party, aren’t they embarrassed?”
