[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will live stream the '2020 Work-Life Balance Festival Online Talk Show' on the Bucheon City Women's Center YouTube channel from 2 PM on the 28th.
The talk show, promoted as part of Bucheon City's women-friendly project 'Work-Life Balance Regional Specialization Project,' is co-hosted with the Bucheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Bucheon-Gimpo Regional Branch.
The panelists will share their thoughts and empathize with Bucheon citizens living in the COVID-19 era under the theme 'Work and Life of Bucheon Citizens in the COVID-19 Era.'
In particular, among the panelists are 'COVID-19 essential workers' who still work on-site to maintain the stable functioning of our society, and 'small and medium-sized business owners' who strive to protect their companies despite worsening business conditions, delivering vivid accounts of the changed workplaces and lives.
In the first part of the talk show, 'care workers in need of care,' 'visiting nurses at screening clinics,' and 'cleaning workers facing the onslaught of disposable products' will talk about living in the COVID-19 era. Then, in the second part, 'transport workers running while wearing masks' and 'small business owners who want to protect their companies without layoffs' will continue the discussion.
A Bucheon City official stated, "The talk show will be a meaningful time to support workers from various fields and small business owners living in the COVID-19 era," adding, "We hope sharing good cases will help overcome these difficult times."
