According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 23rd, a man in his 60s residing in Gyeongsan, who attended the Dongchunghacho briefing session in Daegu and was confirmed positive on September 3rd, ultimately died from pneumonia. It was reported that this patient had been receiving intensive care since the 10th of last month due to pneumonia and multiple organ failure.
At the Dongchunghacho business briefing held on August 29th in the basement level 1 of Dongwoo Building in Buk-gu, Daegu, 25 out of 26 attendees were confirmed positive, and subsequently, through n-th generation infections, the cumulative number of related confirmed cases was counted as 74.
Meanwhile, no new COVID-19 cases were reported in Gyeongbuk the previous day, so as of midnight on the 23rd, the cumulative number of confirmed cases remains at 1,536. Regional infections in Gyeongbuk have not been reported for three consecutive days since the 20th.
