[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 23rd that it will hold the 'Mobility Innovators Forum (hereinafter MIF) 2020' online from the 29th to 30th to explore ways to realize human-centered mobility.

'Hyundai Cradle,' Hyundai Motor Group's open innovation hub, is hosting the MIF for the fifth year this year. The forum is organized as a place where global corporate executives, scholars, and government officials gather to discuss and share future mobility directions and innovative business.

At this year's MIF, Hyundai Cradle plans to discuss ways to strengthen mobility partnerships and maintain sustainable values and goals under the theme 'Turning Vision into Reality' to realize human-centered mobility.

The keynote speech will be delivered by Dan Doctoroff, CEO of Sidewalk Labs. Mobility industry leaders and experts such as Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola, an Indian ride-hailing company; Denis Sverdlov, CEO of Arrival, a British smart electric vehicle company; and Karl Iagnemma, CEO of Motional, responsible for Hyundai Motor Group's autonomous driving technology development, will conduct thematic discussions.

From Hyundai Motor Group, Jiyoung Jo, President of the Strategy and Technology Division, and Jaewon Shin, Vice President and Head of the UAM Business Division, will attend. Vice President Shin will present on Hyundai Motor's Urban Air Mobility (UAM) on the first day, and President Jo will close the event as the final speaker on the second day.

This event will be held online based on U.S. Pacific Time to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Also, those who pre-register on the MIF website can participate in 'MIF Ignite.' 'Ignite' is a program conducted via the online meeting platform Zoom, where hosts and a small number of participants exchange opinions on various topics such as electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart cities.

Since its first event in 2016, about 2,800 people visited the venue until 2019. At last year's forum, Hyundai Motor Group declared its vision of 'human-centered mobility.' A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "To realize the vision of human-centered mobility, we must respond flexibly and swiftly not only to foreseeable futures but also to unforeseeable ones like COVID-19."

He added, "MIF, attended by various mobility leaders, will be a meaningful occasion to turn ideals into reality and the future into the present. Hyundai Motor Group will strive to enrich human life through human-centered future mobility technologies."
