[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is operating a ‘Electric Wiring Construction Skilled Workforce Training Course’.
Guro-gu stated on the 23rd, “Due to the impact of COVID-19, unemployment issues such as job loss and difficulties in job seeking are worsening,” and “to provide residents with opportunities to strengthen their employment capabilities, we are launching the ‘Electric Wiring Construction Skilled Workforce Training Program.’”
Electric wiring construction refers to tasks related to electrical facilities such as installation, maintenance, repair, and management within buildings. It is attracting attention as a stable occupation due to steady demand for manpower across basic industrial sectors.
This ‘Electric Wiring Construction Skilled Workforce Training Program’ consists of education and training as well as employment linkage processes.
First, from December 7 to April 1 of next year, theoretical and practical education including electrical facility practice and written/practical tests for the Electrician Technician certification will be conducted. Participants must complete a total of 520 hours, five days a week, eight hours per day.
After completion, customized employment linkage services will be provided through participant interviews.
The tuition is completely free, and the exam fee for the Electrician Technician certification will be supported once.
Guro-gu is recruiting 20 students until November 27.
The recruitment target is job seekers aged 20 or older residing in Guro-gu. Those who wish to apply can inquire by phone at the entrusted educational institution, Jukyung Yadok Vocational School.
