October 26 to November 15 Applications... 500 People Each, Total 1,000 Reviewed and Cash Paid by December
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has decided to provide disaster relief funds of up to 1 million KRW per person to unemployed youth and cultural artists struggling due to COVID-19, accepting applications from October 26 to November 15.
The support targets 500 Gangnam-gu residents aged 20 to 39 who lost their jobs at workplaces where they had worked for more than one month since January 30 (including part-time, short-term, and temporary jobs), and 500 cultural artists holding a certificate of artistic activity.
Applications for the unemployed youth support fund can be submitted by email (gangnamyouth@citizen.seoul.kr) with required documents, and after review, cash payments will be made twice by mid-December.
Cultural artist support funds can be applied for via email (jeemink@gangnam.go.kr) or by visiting the District Office's Culture and Sports Department (November 4?13), with lump-sum payments scheduled for mid-December.

Meanwhile, Gangnam-gu is leading various support policies, including providing 1.4 million KRW in cash per business to local small business owners facing closure due to COVID-19 until October 30, and disaster relief funds of 1 million KRW and 2 million KRW respectively to local singing rooms and churches that participated in social distancing measures.
