"Choo Mi-ae and Yoon Seok-yeol, Former Allies in Moon Administration Now in Fierce Conflict"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Former Liberty Korea Party leader Hong Joon-pyo criticized the conflict between Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae and Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl on the 22nd, saying, "The news in South Korea is filled with the territorial dispute fight between the first and second key figures responsible for the birth of the Moon Jae-in administration."
On the same day, former leader Hong wrote on Facebook, "At the time of the Moon Jae-in administration's launch, Justice Minister Choo was the top key figure as the party leader who contributed to the victory in the previous impeachment presidential election," adding, "She made great achievements in political investigations that brought down the Park Geun-hye administration and rose rapidly. When she was the head of the Central District Prosecutors' Office, she led so-called deep-rooted corruption investigations, humiliating Lieutenant General Lee Jae-soo of the Defense Security Command, which led to his suicide, and swept through investigations branding even low-level Blue House administrators as deep-rooted corruption. Due to these achievements, she rose rapidly to become Prosecutor General. Now, these people are biting and fighting each other in a dog-eat-dog manner."
Former leader Hong pointed out, "People say there is no more entertaining spectacle than watching a fight, but the sight of the key figures responsible for the birth of the Moon Jae-in administration exposing their true colors and fighting each other is truly a spectacle."
He added, "Calling someone who treated us so harshly a right-wing presidential candidate is a senseless, absurd comedy," and stated, "It is regrettable to see the Mao Zedong-style thinking that 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.'"
