On the 22nd, Park Neung-hoo, Minister of Health and Welfare, stated at the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee's audit, "I sincerely apologize for the concerns caused to the public due to the flu vaccine."

He then mentioned it as a 'reference' and explained, "Last year, 204,000 elderly people aged 70 and above died in our country, which breaks down to about 560 people per day," adding, "Coincidentally, it is estimated that about half of those who died had already received the vaccine."
