[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Donghyun] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 23rd that from the 26th to the 31st, it will hold an exhibition of winning works from the Steel Art contest and a photo exhibition of the Mullae machine metal cluster at the POSCO E&C The Sharp Gallery located in Gangnam-gu.
This photo exhibition was prepared through a public-private partnership involving the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Yeongdeungpo-gu, POSCO E&C, and the Seoul Small Business Association as part of the urban regeneration project around Gyeongin-ro in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
At this contest and photo exhibition, 28 photographs reflecting the characteristics of the urban regeneration revitalization project area around Gyeongin-ro in Yeongdeungpo, selected through public-private collaboration in the Steel Art contest, will be produced and exhibited using POSART technology. An awards ceremony for the selected works will also be held at 4 p.m. on the 27th during the exhibition period.
Additionally, panels containing the progress and plans of the Yeongdeungpo-Gyeongin-ro urban regeneration revitalization project will be exhibited together, providing citizens with an easy-to-understand overview of the urban regeneration project’s progress.
This event is a result of the public-private cooperation in the Yeongdeungpo-Gyeongin-ro urban regeneration revitalization project, which is underway to restore the machine metal industrial ecosystem. Through this, it is expected to serve as an opportunity to directly and indirectly introduce the technological capabilities of Mullae-dong to Seoul citizens and buyers, thereby promoting sustainable job creation through cooperative projects between private companies and small business owners.
Ryu Hoon, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Urban Regeneration Office, said, “The technological skills of the machine metal artisans who are preserving the industrial foundation in Yeongdeungpo are the greatest asset and potential,” adding, “We will strive to maximize this potential through continuous collaboration with private companies such as POSCO E&C.”
