The domestic matchmaking app 'Gold Spoon' announced on the 26th that it will revamp its female membership registration system starting next month to expand the entry of female users and increase user satisfaction with opposite-sex matching.
Until now, men had to verify documents proving economic power such as high income, professional occupation, imported vehicles, and assets to join Gold Spoon, whereas women could gain membership approval based solely on a certain level of appearance score evaluated by male users, according to the company.
Starting next month, women will also be approved as members by verifying abilities and economic power such as employment at large corporations, professional occupations, and high income, similar to the male approval system. The existing appearance evaluation registration method will also be maintained. Through this, it is expected to open the membership gate for women, attracting women with diverse qualifications and broadening the member spectrum.
A Gold Spoon representative said, “We will show an advanced matching capability beyond the previous slogan of men for economic power and women for appearance,” adding, “Not only personality, taste, and appearance but also various conditions such as occupation and economic power will satisfy users’ thirst for more diverse criteria, thereby expanding members’ matching choices.”
Meanwhile, Gold Spoon has formed partnerships with the Korean Association of Public Health Dentists, the Korean Association of Public Health Physicians, and the doctors’ messenger ‘MediStaff,’ attracting a large number of professional, high-income, and wealthy male members, demonstrating a membership base comparable to marriage information companies.
