[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Heo Seok) announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting candidates for scholarship selection until the 30th.


The Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation plans to provide 190 million KRW to 135 students from elementary, middle, high school, and university levels. It is recruiting scholarship recipients in eight categories: Academic Excellence Scholarship (high school and university), Talent Scholarship (elementary, middle, high school, and university), Academic Improvement Scholarship (high school), Multiple Children Scholarship (middle, high school, and university), Cheonghyang (Seo Jeong-hyun) Scholarship (university), Multicultural Scholarship (university), Saeteomin Scholarship (university), and Hope Dream Scholarship (elementary, middle, and high school).


Applications can be submitted through the administrative welfare centers of the applicant's residential eup, myeon, or dong by the 30th for each category.


However, the Academic Improvement Scholarship is awarded to those whose grades have improved by more than 20% compared to the previous semester, recommended by the principal of their school.


Scholarship recipients will be evaluated and reviewed by the 13th of next month, and the final selection will be confirmed through the deliberation and resolution of the scholarship foundation's board of directors on the 19th.

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2001, the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling 1.63 billion KRW to 2,026 students, including those with academic excellence, talents, and multiple children. To facilitate easier access to information about the foundation's activities, a website was launched this month.
