Operation until December 31
Only one participant price charged per person
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The hotel industry, struggling to attract business events, has introduced a new package product utilizing banquet halls as a self-help measure.
Seoul Shilla Hotel announced on the 22nd that it will operate the business event exclusive product 'New Normal Together' package until December 31. This is the first time Seoul Shilla Hotel has sold a package product supporting banquet events.
The New Normal Together package presents a price per participant, making budgeting convenient, and is available for events gathering a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 50 people. The banquet hall rental fee is waived, and a larger banquet hall than usual can be used to maintain social distancing. Essential items necessary for gatherings, such as thermometers, hand sanitizers, and acrylic partitions, are provided as standard.
Lunch is prepared with health foods such as 'Fresh Ginseng Nourishing Galbitang' or 'Abalone Young Chicken Clear Soup,' emphasizing immunity during this period. A coffee and snack set for break time is also provided once, allowing events to enjoy refreshments after meals.
The small and medium banquet halls located on the 3rd floor of the main building of Seoul Shilla Hotel, where the banquet hall package is held, are decorated to convey elegance and sophistication. In particular, the Lilac Hall, characterized by its wide panoramic windows, allows guests to enjoy the seasonal views of Namsan. Originally accommodating 100 people, the Lilac Hall has reduced its capacity by half for social distancing. The Orchid Room, which previously hosted events for about 80 people, has also reduced its capacity to around 40.
The New Normal Together package is expected to meet the demand of corporate clients who want to resume postponed seminars or conferences, as well as those who want to safely hold year-end gatherings such as year-end parties.
A representative of Seoul Shilla Hotel said, "We have newly introduced the New Normal Together package, adding the meaning of a banquet together in the new standard that is becoming the norm due to COVID-19," and added, "It is expected to attract not only corporate banquets but also demand for small year-end gatherings."
