JAYJUN Cosmetic Accelerates Entry into Beauty Medical Device Market

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Jayjun Cosmetic announced on the 22nd that its newly established beauty medical device subsidiary DRC Healthcare, founded last September, has acquired 50%+1 share of Daonic, the manufacturer of the 'ClearJet' device.

ClearJet, Daonic's representative product, is a device that sprays fine water jets into skin pores to remove impurities and stimulates the skin to promote dermal regeneration. Before launching in the Korean market, ClearJet began exports to the North American region, where the Nasdaq-listed company Venus Concept has been selling it under the brand name 'VenusGlow' since last year.

A Jayjun Cosmetic official stated, "ClearJet is a verified device approved by the US FDA and sold in advanced markets such as North America and Europe," adding, "Since Daonic has been incorporated as a consolidated subsidiary of Jayjun Cosmetic, we plan to actively support entry into the domestic and Southeast Asian markets."

They continued, "From Jayjun Cosmetic's core cosmetics business to beauty medical devices, we are building a total business portfolio in the beauty sector," and added, "We plan to maximize synergy among affiliates by combining Jayjun's differentiated marketing capabilities."

Jayjun Cosmetic, through its grandchild company RF Bio, is developing botulinum toxin pharmaceuticals and selling the hyaluronic acid (HA) filler 'YouthFill' and anesthetic cream 'YouthKain.' Recently, by establishing DRC Healthcare and acquiring Daonic's shares, the company is showing swift moves in the aesthetic medical device market.
