Woori Financial Group Conducts Joint Big Data and AI Training with KT Group

Strengthening Practical Digital Competencies Based on Fundamental Theories

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Financial Group announced on the 22nd that it will conduct joint big data and AI training sessions with KT Group twice by November.

The joint training will involve a total of 40 employees from Woori Financial Group affiliates such as Woori Bank and Woori Card, who will practice KT's big data utilization cases and derive tasks to apply them in their work.

The big data and AI training jointly conducted with KT was planned as part of the "Strategic Business Partnership for Digital Financial Innovation" agreement between Woori Financial Group and KT Group, signed last August.

Selected employees from Woori Financial Group will learn the theory of big data and AI, practice big data utilization cases actually applied at KT, derive tasks that can be immediately applied to their work, and are expected to significantly enhance Woori Financial Group's digital capabilities.

Through collaboration with KT, the nation's leading ICT company, Woori Financial Group aims to continuously expand hyper-personalized services using big data and AI technologies and discover new business models that integrate finance and telecommunications.

A Woori Financial Group official said, "This training is a great opportunity for both companies to not only deepen their understanding of big data but also improve mutual understanding of each other's work," adding, "It will be the first step in discovering digital financial tasks that combine finance and telecommunications."
