[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) will hold a non-face-to-face "Online Dobong Lifelong Learning Expo" on the 23rd so that residents can experience lifelong learning from home.
This is to provide time for mutual exchange and communication between lifelong learning participants and residents in a situation where most lifelong learning programs have been suspended due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, causing the lifelong learning atmosphere to shrink.
The Lifelong Learning Expo will be held live in real-time on Dobong-gu Office's YouTube channel DobongBongTV from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the 23rd under the slogan "Peaceful ON~All day, lifelong learning! Enjoy safely online."
Now in its third year, the Dobong Lifelong Learning Expo selected programs through in-depth meetings of the promotion committee composed of lifelong education institutions, lifelong learning clubs, talent-sharing classes, operators of Dong Lifelong Learning Centers, participants with experience in lifelong learning events, and related public officials.
The programs include ▲a congratulatory small performance by lifelong learning clubs ▲a special lecture by a guest expert (Oriental medicine doctor Dongjin Shin) ▲operation of neighborhood learning center online experience booths ▲screening of promotional videos for lifelong learning centers and Everyone's School Dobong Learning Center ▲recitation of excellent (selected) adult literacy works, etc. Lifelong learning stakeholders and participants will take the lead in sharing their activities with residents online and providing booths and small performances that can be experienced in real time.
Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, "As this is a great opportunity to experience Dobong-gu's lifelong learning resources online in real time from a comfortable place without being restricted by location, I hope many residents will participate and have a meaningful time."
The district is operating various non-face-to-face programs such as Dobong Academy, skill development programs, local activist courses, and neighborhood learning centers so that residents can pursue self-development and lifelong learning while lifelong learning center programs are suspended to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
