[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Jeong Young-jin) announced on the 21st that it participated in the ‘Thank You, Essential Workers’ campaign, which delivers messages of gratitude and support to face-to-face workers.
This campaign was started to express gratitude and support to those who provide essential services such as delivery, healthcare, transportation services, environmental sanitation, and delivery work, who must perform face-to-face labor due to the nature of their work despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the normalization of non-face-to-face interactions.
Chief Jeong, who was nominated by Park Chang-su, Chairman of the Mokpo City Council, conveyed appreciation to those providing essential services to society together with his staff.
Chief Jeong Young-jin said, “I express my gratitude to the essential workers who quietly fulfill their responsibilities even amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation.”
Meanwhile, Chief Jeong recommended Park In-bae, Chief of Mokpo Police Station, Park Seong-hyun, President of Mokpo Maritime University, and Moon Seon-hwa, Director of Mokpo City Health Center, as the next relay nominees.
