[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) municipal symphony orchestra will hold the 1st Dobong-gu Municipal Symphony Orchestra Regular Concert "Autumn Ball" on the 29th to celebrate its 1st anniversary.
Founded in September last year, the Dobong-gu Municipal Symphony Orchestra has performed on various stages such as the "Dobong-gu Lantern Festival" and the "Dobong-gu New Year's Meeting" to cultivate the emotions of residents and create a musical city Dobong.
In addition, in May, it held a no-audience concert "CoronaOUT Hope Concert" to comfort residents exhausted by COVID-19.
The upcoming "Autumn Ball" concert will be held at 7:30 PM on the 29th at the Dobong-gu Community Center Grand Performance Hall.
The concert is composed to allow the audience to enjoy dancers' movements along with music, starting with "Johann Strauss II - Overture to Die Fledermaus," followed by Tchaikovsky's ballet and Piazzolla's tango.
In particular, through a collaboration with the musical actor couple "Kim So-hyun & Son Jun-ho," who are active as leads in musicals and music programs, the audience can enjoy familiar musical numbers.
For on-site attendance, 250 people will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis from the 21st to the 27th through the "Events/Recruitment" section on the Dobong-gu Office website's promotional post for the Dobong-gu Municipal Symphony Orchestra Regular Concert, and admission is free.
The performance will be conducted in strict compliance with quarantine rules such as electronic entry log creation, mandatory mask-wearing, social distancing, and hand sanitizer provision to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Furthermore, to allow more people to watch the performance, it will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel "Dobongmunyeji" on the day of the event.
Lee Dong-jin, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "This performance was organized for residents exhausted by COVID-19." He added, "We hope many people will take interest in the Dobong-gu Municipal Symphony Orchestra Regular Concert, which can be enjoyed both online and offline, and that it will be a time for residents to enjoy culture and healing."
