On-site Registration at Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers... 2 Million KRW Support for Businesses Under Gathering Ban
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Andong City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 21st that it will accept on-site applications for the Saehope Fund, a customized support fund for small business owners struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), from the 26th of this month to November 6th.
Applications will be accepted at the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers. Until the end of October, a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the applicant's birth year will be implemented. Eligible applicants must be small business owners in general industries or specially affected industries who started their business before May 31 and are currently operating as of the application date (excluding those who are temporarily closed or have ceased operations).
For general industries, 1 million KRW will be provided to small business owners with sales of 400 million KRW or less in 2019 who have experienced a decrease in sales this year.
For specially affected industries, according to the "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act," 2 million KRW will be provided regardless of sales amount or sales decrease for businesses that were ordered to close after August 16.
Application documents and other details can be found on the city’s website. Andong City plans to have the Small Enterprise and Market Service review (verify) the on-site applications received by November 6 and disburse the funds within two weeks.
Mayor Kwon Young-se said, "I hope this project will be a small help to small business owners facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19," and added, "We will strive to actively guide and promote to ensure no eligible recipients are missed."
