Possibility of Improper Alcohol Entertainment Raised on SNS
"If Room Salon Is Investigated, It Will Come Out"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk raised suspicions that the 'prosecutor entertainment allegations' case may not have been limited to just drinking entertainment. He pointed out that the price of the whiskey served by former Star Mobility Chairman Kim Bonghyun to active prosecutors was excessively high.
On the 20th, Cho Kuk wrote on his Twitter, "According to Kim Bonghyun's letter, the active prosecutors who were entertained together with lawyer A, a former special investigation prosecutor, at a room salon in Cheongdam-dong are being identified through the Ministry of Justice’s inspection and the Southern District Prosecutors' Office investigation, and the entertainment cost was 10 million won for five people."
He added, "Even if several bottles of premium whiskey were consumed, it would be difficult to reach 10 million won," suggesting the possibility that there was more than just drinking entertainment.

Former Minister Cho added, "If the room salon is investigated, it will come out immediately."
Some netizens replied to Cho’s post, mentioning the possibility that prostitution at the bar or other bribes might have been involved.
Earlier, former Chairman Kim claimed in a statement released from prison on the 16th, "In July last year, through lawyer A, a former prosecutor, I entertained three active prosecutors with drinks worth about 10 million won."
He added, "At the time of the gathering, I was introduced to them as prosecutors who would later join the Lime investigation team, and in fact, one of them participated in the investigation team."
