'Time to Hunt' Filmed in Busan and 'Dogul' Next, Lee Je-hoon on the Move

'Time to Hunt' Filmed in Busan and 'Dogul' Next, Lee Je-hoon on the Move

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Iseul] It is truly the year of Je-heeon Lee. He is running non-stop until the end of the year.

On the afternoon of the 24th, Je-heeon Lee is scheduled to attend a Q&A session (GV) with director Yoon Sung-hyun after the screening of the film Time to Hunt at the Busan Cinema Center's Medium Theater in U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan.

Time to Hunt has been invited to the "Korean Cinema Today" section at the 25th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and is set to be screened. Originally intended for theatrical release, the film was instead released on Netflix due to the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019).

Time to Hunt is a film that pays great attention to sound, with no scenes lacking music. After extensive post-production, it was completed as an immersive experience film, but unfortunately, there was no opportunity to watch it in theaters. Due to the nature of OTT platforms, viewers watched it in different environments individually, which made the disappointment even greater.

This disappointment is expected to be alleviated through the screening at the Busan International Film Festival. Despite his busy schedule promoting the film Collectors (directed by Park Jung-bae), Je-heeon Lee plans to head to Busan with director Yoon Sung-hyun. Although the film was previously shown in theaters at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, this will be its first screening for domestic audiences, making it especially meaningful.

Je-heeon Lee has been involved with Time to Hunt with affection as the lead actor since the early stages of production. Based on his strong trust in director Yoon Sung-hyun, he has been with the film from start to finish. It is expected that he will have a beautiful farewell moment with Joon-seok in Busan.

Additionally, Je-heeon Lee is intensifying his promotional activities ahead of the November release of the film Collectors.

Collectors is a crime entertainment film where the naturally gifted treasure hunter Kang Dong-gu (Je-heeon Lee) teams up with experts nationwide to unearth hidden relics underground and engage in thrilling escapades. Je-heeon Lee plays Kang Dong-gu, a naturally gifted treasure hunter who can recognize treasures just by tasting the soil. With a bright and cheerful performance, he will shed his previous fixed image and meet audiences with a new charm.

Given the somewhat subdued atmosphere due to COVID-19, Je-heeon Lee is promoting the film with more determination than ever as it is being shown in theaters. Recently, he finished filming SBS variety show Running Man with Lim Won-hee and is scheduled to meet Yeonbanin Jeje on the YouTube channel MUNMYEONGTEUKGEUP. He will also appear on Jessi's Showterview alongside Jo Woo-jin to share various stories.

Having revealed a new side of himself earlier this year with Time to Hunt, Je-heeon Lee recently completed filming the Netflix drama Move to Heaven: I am a Probate Cleaner and is now promoting Collectors. He is spending the year with exceptional determination. He is expected to wrap up the second half of the year with the SBS drama Taxi Driver, marking his return to the small screen after two years since the 2018 drama Fox Bride Star.

Taxi Driver is based on a webtoon about a model taxi that avenges passengers. The webtoon by Carlos and Lee Jae-jin, serialized on KTOON, received great love. It is currently under discussion for SBS's second half lineup.

Having achieved remarkable growth in 2020, expectations are high for Je-heeon Lee’s future activities and the roles he will showcase in his upcoming projects following the release of Collectors.
