Emart Offers Up to 30% Discount on Fall and Winter Camping Gear

Emart is offering up to 30% discounts on camping supplies such as tents, sunshades, sleeping bags, camping chairs, and backpacks when purchased with promotional cards until the 28th.

Representative products include the 'Bigten Family Sunshade,' available for 34,930 KRW with the promotional card, the 'Essential Sleeping Bag' at a 30% discounted price of 6,930 KRW, and the 'Bigten Picnic Chair' for 9,030 KRW.

They have also planned a winter protection goods event for autumn and winter campers. Items such as the 'Redface Goose Jacket,' 'Comont Padding Jacket,' and 'K2 Safety Winter Gear (earmuffs/neck warmer/winter gloves)' are offered at up to 30% discount.

The reason Emart is launching this autumn and winter camping supplies discount event is that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, overseas travel has become difficult, and people are avoiding crowded tourist spots. Camping, which can be safely enjoyed alone or with family in small groups while minimizing contact with others, is gaining popularity.

In fact, Emart's camping supplies sales grew about 17% from January to September this year compared to the previous year. Especially this year, despite the weather starting to get chilly with morning lows dropping below 10 degrees Celsius since October, the popularity of camping has not waned but sales have increased.

From the 1st to the 18th, Emart's camping supplies sales increased by 117.4% compared to the same period last year, more than doubling. Among them, sales of sleeping bags increased by 82.1%, mattresses by 159%, showing significant growth in winter protection products used inside tents. Camping cooking supplies rose by 156%, and charcoal and grills increased by 48%.

Lee Jung-woo, Emart's outdoor buyer, said, “With the arrival of the four-season camping era, we are holding a discount event for camping supplies targeting autumn and winter campers. Since camping equipment is needed more in autumn and winter than in spring and summer, we planned this event so customers can purchase at reasonable prices.”
