Designation of 'The Classic Pharmacy' in Jayang 3-dong as Gwangjin-gu Public Night Pharmacy

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has designated and operates a 'Public Night Pharmacy' so that residents can purchase medicines even during nighttime hours when pharmacies are closed.

This public night pharmacy was established to address the gap in medical services during nights and holidays and to prevent misuse and overuse of medicines through professional medication guidance by pharmacists.

The designated pharmacy is 'The Classic Pharmacy' located in Jayang 3-dong (90 Neungdong-ro, 1st floor), near Konkuk University Station on subway lines 2 and 7, offering convenient transportation and accessibility.

The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., running 365 days a year without any holidays, including weekends and public holidays.

The public night pharmacy stocks a variety of medicines to meet residents' needs in emergencies, including antipyretics, analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, cold and respiratory medicines, digestive system medicines, dermatological drugs, genitourinary medicines, ophthalmic drugs, otolaryngological drugs, neuropsychiatric medicines, ointments, and other external preparations.

District Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “We designate and operate the public night pharmacy to alleviate residents' inconveniences in purchasing medicines and to contribute to their health management. If you feel unwell, please feel free to use the public night pharmacy anytime.”
