[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea East-West Power announced on the 19th that it has signed a 'Mutual Cooperation Agreement for the Expansion of the Ulsan Green New Deal' with SK Gas and Ulsan City.
According to this agreement, East-West Power and SK Gas will expand cooperation not only in the introduction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) but also in renewable energy projects such as hydrogen and fuel cells, as well as in the energy new industry sector.
In the future, a working-level consultative body will be formed to expand the Ulsan Green New Deal project, and full-scale projects will be promoted.
Park Iljun, President of East-West Power, said, "Taking this agreement as an opportunity, East-West Power and SK Gas, which are leading the Ulsan energy industry, will join forces to contribute to the regional industrial ecosystem and economic revitalization."
Yoon Byungseok, President of SK Gas, said, "SK Gas is promoting new businesses such as LNG fuel introduction, hydrogen production and distribution using cold energy, and VPP (Virtual Power Plant) electricity business. We believe we can create a successful cooperation model with East-West Power in Ulsan."
