[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Mecenat Association, which fulfills social responsibility through supporting culture and arts by entrepreneurs in the Gyeongnam region, will hold the ‘2020 Corporate Love Mecenat Concert’ without an audience at KBS Changwon Hall.
This performance, sponsored by the Korea Arts Council, will be held on the 20th and can also be enjoyed via YouTube and other platforms on the 31st.
The concert opens with composer Jo Woo-sung’s piece ‘Questions are the Answer.’ This percussion-focused work conveys a message that even in an unprecedented world, new hope can be found.
Next, violist Kim Eun-jin will take the stage to perform Austrian composer J. N. Hummel’s ‘Fantasy for Viola and Orchestra Op. 94’ together with the Gyeongnam Mecenat Philharmonic Orchestra. In the second part, musical actors Park So-yeon and Lee Geon-myung will appear to passionately sing representative songs from the musical ‘Geunaldeul’ such as ‘I Loved You,’ Mozart’s ‘Golden Star,’ and the animated film Aladdin’s insert song ‘A Whole New World.’
A representative of the Gyeongnam Mecenat Association said, “Although it is regrettable not to perform in front of an audience, we hope this performance will be a comforting content for the residents exhausted by COVID-19 blues.”
