[Asia Economy Reporter Wondara] The People Power Party has additionally disclosed the list of Optimus Fund investors containing the names of key figures from the ruling party.

On the morning of the 19th, Yusangbeom, a member of the People Power Party, revealed the list of Optimus Fund investors during the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee hearing, stating, "In addition to Jin Young and Kim Kyung-hyup, several Democratic Party figures and Blue House officials' names appear." The materials Yusangbeom disclosed included the names of Democratic Party lawmakers Kim Jin-pyo, Kim Young-ho, and Kim Kyung-hyup; Jin Young, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, his son Jin Myung-heon, and his wife Jung Mi-young; former Blue House spokesperson Park Soo-hyun; and former Blue House Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs Lee Ho-cheol.

Yusangbeom said, "Although a thorough investigation of individuals with the same name is necessary, despite having secured the fund investment list containing their real names, no investigation was conducted," and added, "The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's failure to investigate despite having the list raises suspicions of attempting to cover up the matter." In response, a Democratic Party lawmaker's office stated, "This is completely untrue," and warned, "If the list is disclosed, legal action will be taken." Park Beom-gye, a Democratic Party member of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, also rebutted, saying, "I want to make it clear that Kim, Kim, and Park are not related to our party."

Meanwhile, the political battle between the ruling and opposition parties is intensifying over the prison statement of Kim Bong-hyun (46, detained and indicted), former chairman of Star Mobility. The Democratic Party insists that the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC) should handle the case, while the People Power Party advocates for introducing a special prosecutor. Former Blue House Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Kang Ki-jung appeared on TBS radio that morning, completely denying allegations against him and stating, "At 11 o'clock today, I will file complaints with the Southern District Prosecutors' Office against two prosecutors, Person A and Person B, whose names are unknown."
