[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Lee Jin-ah, former administrative officer of the Blue House Civil Affairs Office and major shareholder of Optimus Asset Management, has been reported to the prosecution.
The civic group Economic Democracy 21 announced on the 19th that it filed a complaint against Lee with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges including bribery under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes and violation of the Real Name Financial Transactions Act.
Economic Democracy 21 stated, "After Lee entered the Blue House, the salary of his spouse, Yoon Seok-ho, former director of Optimus, increased from 5 million won to 15 million won per month without any particular reason," adding, "This money was unfairly received by Lee in his capacity as a public official, and since the Civil Affairs Office oversees the Financial Supervisory Service, there is a connection to his official duties."
They further explained, "Lee also attempted to conceal his ownership by transferring 100,000 shares of Optimus stock he held under the name of Kim Jae-hyun, former CEO of Optimus, acting as a nominee."
