Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service "Easily Check Industrial Accident Processing Status in Real Time via Mobile Phone"

Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service "Easily Check Industrial Accident Processing Status in Real Time via Mobile Phone"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] A service that allows users to check the status of their industrial accident insurance application processing through a simple mobile search will be introduced.

The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service announced that starting from the 19th, it will launch a mobile service enabling industrial accident applicants to check the progress of their civil petition document processing in real time.

Until now, applicants had to sign up on the Employment and Industrial Accident Insurance Service website and log in with a certified digital certificate to check the status of their industrial accident processing, making the procedure complicated.

There were many opinions that it was difficult and inconvenient for elderly people unfamiliar with computer use, foreigners, as well as general applicants to check the status.

From now on, anyone can easily and quickly check the industrial accident processing status on their mobile phone through the mobile search service. Without installing an application or using a certified digital certificate, users can simply search the industrial accident processing status by entering the application number.

First, enter 'Geunro Bokji Gongdan' (Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service) in the mobile portal search bar to go to the service's homepage. Then, select 'Naui Sageon Geomsaek (Bosang)' (My Case Search (Compensation)) at the bottom of the homepage, enter the 'application number' of the civil petition document you want to check, and confirm.

The service has significantly expanded the types of civil petition documents that can be checked from the previous 3 types, including medical care applications, to 11 types. The processing status, which was simply displayed as 'Document Processing,' has been detailed into 14 progress statuses such as 'Medical Opinion Request' and 'On-site Accident Investigation.' This improvement provides customers with detailed guidance on the processing progress they are curious about.

Kang Soon-hee, Director of the Service, stated, "Through the mobile search service, we have transparently disclosed the service's work processing procedures and enhanced the speed of industrial accident processing," adding, "This is part of a customer-centered service to make it easier and more convenient to apply for industrial accident insurance and receive compensation."
