[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] On the 16th, Park Jin-young, deputy spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea, who criticized former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon by comparing him to 'Ye-hyung,' once again criticized Jin, who had condemned the Blue House, saying "Jin Joong-kwon is also corrupt."

On the 17th, Deputy Spokesperson Park wrote on his Facebook, "Jin Joong-kwon, you say the Blue House is corrupt?" and began, "Generally, corruption means abuse of power for economic gain."

He continued, "(The Blue House) involves a few in corruption, but mostly election law violations and abuse of authority," adding, "Then Jin Joong-kwon's act of acting arrogantly toward Byeon Hee-jae and receiving a 3 million won fine for defamation could also be seen as corruption," delivering a sharp rebuke.

Former Professor Jin was sued for defamation after calling Byeon Hee-jae a 'nobody' in 2009. The Supreme Court sentenced Jin to a 3 million won fine on November 22, 2011. Deputy Spokesperson Park referred to this case to indirectly criticize Jin.

Earlier on the 16th, Jin Joong-kwon posted on his Facebook a list of about ten people from the Blue House accused of various corruption charges, claiming, "The most corrupt place in South Korea is the Blue House."

Specifically, he listed names such as "Cho Kuk, Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs (cover-up of inspection), Han Byung-do, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs (election interference), Jeon Byeong-heon, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs (bribery), Shin Mi-sook, Personnel Secretary (blacklist), Kim Jong-cheon, Protocol Secretary (drunk driving), Song In-bae, Political Secretary (illegal political funds), Baek Won-woo, Civil Affairs Secretary (cover-up of inspection, election interference), Park Hyung-chul, Anti-corruption Secretary (cover-up of inspection, election interference), Choi Kang-wook, Public Office Secretary (false intern certificate, election law violation), Kim Mo, Administrative Officer of the Economic Secretariat (bribery, Lime scandal). This can be called total corruption," enumerating several names.

He then criticized, "The most corrupt group in South Korea took up the sword claiming reform, so the country ended up in this state."

Meanwhile, on the 13th, Deputy Spokesperson Park sparked controversy by comparing former Professor Jin to the Three Kingdoms figure 'Ye-hyung' in a statement. 'Ye-hyung' was a talented figure who was killed after insulting Cao Cao and others with harsh words. In response, Jin Joong-kwon said, "Is this saying that Jin Joong-kwon is so hateful that you want to kill him, or is it a double entendre threatening to cut the leash if this continues?"
