[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Goseong Library of Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education signed a business agreement on the 16th with four small libraries?Chaeksarang Small Library, Goraereul Pumeun Small Library, Seongsan Small Library, and Geulbit Small Library?to revitalize the operation of small libraries and strengthen services for local residents.

Currently, there are five small libraries in the Goseong area, including Goraereul Pumeun Small Library, serving as information hubs for local residents and operating centered around the village community.

Following the signing of the agreement, a working council meeting was held with the Goseong County Office library staff and representatives from each library to discuss practical difficulties regarding ▲library operation plans ▲sharing cultural programs ▲operating different types of libraries amid the COVID-19 situation.

A representative from one of the small libraries attending the council said, "Although the libraries have different operating entities, the council was a good opportunity to reflect on the social role of libraries," adding, "A consultative body to discuss the development direction of small libraries is essential, and we expect Goseong Library to play a major role at its center."
