"Claimed 'Childbirth on the Street'... Caught at the Hospital"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] The story of a woman who allegedly cut open her pregnant friend's belly to steal the baby and claimed she gave birth herself has shocked many.
According to The Sun and other outlets on the 14th (local time), Taylor Parker (27) of Sims, Bowie County, Texas, killed Reagan Simons Hancock (21), who lived in a neighboring town and was pregnant, and took the baby from her womb.
Parker reportedly told the police at the time, "It is my child, and I gave birth to the baby on the street."
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation stated in a press release, "Parker is currently charged with one count of murder and two counts of kidnapping."
According to Texas police, Parker was stopped by traffic police in DeKalb for speeding around 10 a.m. on the 9th (local time). Parker told the police, "I just gave birth to a baby by the roadside, but the baby is not breathing."

The officer attempted CPR on the baby, but when the baby did not revive, an ambulance was called. She was immediately transported to McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma, and from then on, police suspicion of her began.
Hospital staff, suspicious because Parker refused a medical examination, reported this to the police. After persuading Parker to undergo a medical checkup, the doctor concluded, "Parker has never been pregnant."
The police told Parker to "confess," and she was arrested about 2 hours and 40 minutes after the Hancock murder case was reported that morning. Hancock was found dead at her home around 10:20 a.m. that day.
During police questioning, Parker said, "I lied about being pregnant to change my boyfriend's mind who wanted to break up in February," adding, "I even held a party to reveal the baby's gender."
Parker claimed she barely knew the deceased Hancock, but the victim's family stated that the two were friends.

Parker and Hancock were Facebook friends, and Parker was reportedly in photos with Hancock’s engagement and wedding in 2019.
In a July 2019 engagement post caption, Hancock wrote, "I love my little family," and Parker commented, "My favorite family."
Taylor, charged with first-degree murder, capital murder, and kidnapping, is reportedly facing either life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty under Texas law.
Hancock was eight months pregnant and was due to give birth in November.
Meanwhile, Hancock’s friends have set up a fundraising site for the surviving family members. One fundraiser wrote, "Reagan Hancock and her unborn baby were selfishly murdered by someone Reagan considered a friend."
