"Concerts to Your Living Room" ... 35 Works by Seoul Citizen Hall Artists Available Online for Free

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] On the 14th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will present 35 video works titled 'The Show Goes On' through online platforms such as Naver TV and YouTube to quench the thirst of artists and citizens whose opportunities to participate in culture and arts have decreased due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

These works, planned to replace the Seoul Citizen Hall program 'Vitality Concert' which has been suspended since February due to social distancing measures, will be released every Friday from the 16th through December.

The Citizen Hall artists participating in the Vitality Concert have been selected and managed through open auditions since 2013, with amateurs and professional artists collaborating to continue a total of 5,000 experiences and performances including classical music, jazz, gugak (traditional Korean music), dance, and face painting.

This event will showcase 17 music videos planned by Citizen Hall artists, 16 interview works highlighting the lives of artists, and 2 collaborative performances by musicians from different fields.

The music videos, many of which feature new songs released for the first time, are characterized by diverse visual beauty achieved through drone filming. The 'Storytelling Interview' produced by director Lee In-gyu, who filmed BTS's videos, candidly captures the story of a Citizen Hall artist who transformed from an ordinary citizen into an artist.

In the collaborative performances by musicians from different fields, familiar yet unique combinations such as guitar and violin, and eolhu and haegeum are expected to offer a fresh experience.

The works released this time can be rewatched anytime on Citizen Hall TV. Detailed information can be found on the Citizen Hall website, YouTube, and SNS channels.

Park Jin-young, Seoul City Citizen Communication Planning Officer, introduced, "Citizen Hall artists will present various works with unique attempts to satisfy citizens' thirst for cultural and artistic enjoyment."
