Busan City to Live Broadcast 39th Forum on 13th from 3 PM to 5 PM on Bada TV
First Online Event Due to COVID-19... Open for Citizen Participation via Comments
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City (Acting Mayor Byun Seong-wan) will hold the '39th Open Busan·Urban Architecture Forum' at 3 PM on the 13th at Beacon Ground in Mangmi-dong, Suyeong-gu.
The event, hosted by Busan City and organized by Sangji E&A Engineering Architecture Office (Chairman Heo Dong-yoon), has been held since 2007 as a free discussion platform on the direction in which cities and architecture should progress together.
This year's event will be held via online live broadcast on Bada TV due to COVID-19. Therefore, the door for citizen participation is wide open. Citizens curious about the forum's theme and urban architecture can participate through real-time comments.
This year's forum will be moderated by Professor Lee Han-seok of Korea Maritime and Ocean University under the main theme of 'Sustainable Port City, Busan' and the sub-theme 'Urban and Architectural Tasks for a Sustainable Busan.'
The program will proceed in the order of congratulatory remarks by Acting Mayor Byun Seong-wan of Busan and Song Hwa-cheol, Chairman of the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Branch of the Architectural Institute of Korea; lectures by Professor Moon Jin-woo of Chung-Ang University Department of Architecture and Director Lee Seong-woo of KMI (Korea Maritime Institute); and expert panel discussions including Dr. Park Sang-pil of Busan Research Institute and Professor Seong Yi-yong of Dong-A University Department of Architecture.
