New Wireless Chargers 'MagSafe' 2 Models Released
Capable of Charging with Up to 15W Power
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] There is a prospect that Apple will revive the 'MagSafe' brand to launch a new wireless charger.
On the 11th (local time), IT tipsters Kang and LoveToDream revealed that Apple will release two types of 'MagSafe' wireless chargers along with the iPhone 12. One is the 'MagSafe Charger' that can charge only one device, and the other is the 'MagSafe Duo Charger' that can charge two devices including accessories.
Until now, the dominant expectation was that Apple would release a charger called 'AirPower,' but Apple completely canceled the project last year due to safety concerns. This time, Apple is expected to introduce a wireless charger under the new brand MagSafe. MagSafe is the name of the MacBook power connector first released in 2006. It is a connector that attaches magnetically to the main body rather than plugging in.
They introduced that the MagSafe wireless charger can provide up to 15W charging. Last month, a prototype of a magnetic wireless charger was also revealed, suggesting the possibility that a new charger called MagSafe may come out instead of AirPower. Previously, IT tipster EverythingApplePro also revealed that they are developing a case with a built-in magnetic ring to prevent the iPhone 12 from slipping off when placed on a wireless charger.
