[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] White House physician announced on the 10th (local time) that U.S. President Donald Trump is considered to pose no risk of transmitting the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) to others.
In a statement released that day, Chief Physician Sean Conley said, "In addition to meeting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) criteria for safely ending isolation, I am pleased to announce that this morning's COVID-19 PCR test sample results indicate that the President is no longer considered to pose a risk of transmitting the virus to others."
He added, "There is no longer evidence of active viral replication."
However, according to some media reports, the White House reportedly remained silent on whether this announcement meant that President Trump tested negative for COVID-19.
