[Asia Economy Reporter Nahana] On the night of the 8th, when a large fire broke out engulfing the entire 33-story apartment building, it became a hot topic that the Mercedes-Benz dealership near the apartment provided its showroom as a resting area for firefighters and offered meals worth about 10 million won.

According to Star Motors, the Mercedes-Benz dealership, on the 9th, Yujjaejin, chairman of Star Motors, which operates a five-story showroom near the accident site apartment, gave up normal business that day and provided the showroom as a resting space and meals for about 1,300 firefighters.

Until Chairman Yu provided the showroom, firefighters had to rest on the street for about eight hours from 11:07 PM on the 8th.

Chairman Yu helped make the showroom available as the firefighters' 'on-site command center,' and the on-site firefighters repeatedly expressed their gratitude to him.

The fire was completely extinguished around 2:50 PM that day, and all dispatched firefighters withdrew, but Star Motors employees remained at the fire site afterward to clean up the debris that had fallen.

Meanwhile, Chairman Yu is known to have actively participated in volunteer activities, including serving as a Mercedes-Benz social contribution committee member.
