The Korea Fashion Industry Association (Chairman Han Jun-seok) announced on the 8th that it has launched five domestic designer brands on the global online fashion platform ‘Leclaire’.
According to the association, Leclaire, which is launching these brands online, is one of the world's top three select shops and is a representative select shop in Paris, France, comparable to Italy’s 10 Corso Como. It is highly regarded as a sacred place for fashion buyers from Europe, the United States, and Asia who must visit during their business trips to Paris to check out newly launched brands. Since being featured on the platform attracts the attention of major department store buyers from the U.S. and China, it can lead to new global market opportunities for the brands, making the launch of these five brands even more significant.
In particular, the initial order volume reached $100,000 simultaneously with the online launch, raising expectations for subsequent second and third reorder achievements. The five brands launched are winners of last year’s K Fashion Audition and brands with high growth potential in the European market: ‘Greedilous’ by Park Yoon-hee, ‘Wunderkammer’ by Shin Hye-young, ‘Bmuet’ by Seo Byung-moon and Eom Ji-na, ‘User’ by Lee Mu-yeol, and ‘T-Bag’ by Jo Eun-ae.
A representative from the Korea Fashion Industry Association stated, “Through the global brand development and foundation-building project, we plan to continuously support the revitalization of the domestic fashion industry by actively engaging in various marketing activities to pioneer overseas sales channels for small and medium fashion brands and to invigorate the domestic online market.”
Meanwhile, the K Fashion Audition is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and promoted by the Korea Fashion Industry Association as part of the global brand development and foundation-building project. Its purpose is to select and nurture globally competitive small and medium fashion designer brands. The plan is not only to select representative brands but also to support their sales marketing to enhance their competitiveness in the global fashion market.
