[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG HelloVision announced on the 7th that it will broadcast the original content 'Our Neighborhood Hero,' which introduces local heroes and heartwarming stories, every Friday at 4:25 PM on Hello TV channel 25.
This week's broadcast features Park Ki-chul, who has been leading public safety efforts in the Mokpo area. Park is an ordinary small business owner running a restaurant and has been patrolling the neighborhood twice a day to carry out voluntary crime prevention duties. Recently, he formed a volunteer crime prevention team with like-minded local residents to ensure the safety of the community. He has resolved over 200 incidents and accidents over 32 years and is known as the 'Sheriff of Mokpo.'
Our Neighborhood Hero is a human documentary program planned with the concept of 'extraordinary stories of ordinary people.' Since its first broadcast in 2017, it has introduced heartwarming stories of local heroes who have continued good deeds for their communities.
LG HelloVision's local channel decided to bring back this program, recognizing the need for a show that can deliver messages of hope to communities struggling with the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and successive disasters.
Joo Je-cheol, head of LG HelloVision's production team, said, "Our Neighborhood Hero is a program designed to deliver touching stories from every corner of the local community that cannot be seen on other channels. We hope this program will bring warmth to communities everywhere."
Our Neighborhood Hero can also be viewed on the LG HelloVision local channel website and the YouTube channel 'LG HelloVision Local Broadcasting.'
