IBK, Army Job Fair Held Until Next Month 20th

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]IBK Industrial Bank announced that it will hold an online Army Job Fair from the 5th to the 20th of next month to support discharged soldiers' stable social transition and the recruitment of talent by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies.

Co-hosted by IBK Industrial Bank, the Army, the Small and Medium Business Corporation, and the Korea Venture Business Association, this fair will have 123 excellent SMEs, venture companies, and mid-sized companies, including KOSPI-listed companies, recruiting about 500 people. Fifteen companies with annual sales exceeding 100 billion KRW will also participate. Resume submissions are accepted until October 30.

All processes from resume submission to interviews will be conducted online through a video-based recruitment platform. Applicants can also communicate interactively with HR managers via company-specific consultation boards. Interview support funds will be provided to the first 500 applicants who pass the document screening.

During the fair, all job seekers will be offered free AI-based mock interviews by job category, which is expected to greatly help discharged soldiers who are not familiar with online interviews, according to the bank.

The opening ceremony of the fair will also be held online. Heads of each organization, including IBK Industrial Bank President Yoon Jong-won, will encourage job seekers and wish them success in employment through video messages.

An IBK Industrial Bank official said, “We hope this will help young people who are struggling due to the frozen job market caused by COVID-19.”
