[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, paid respects at the tomb of former President Roh Moo-hyun on Chuseok day, the 1st. This was his first visit to Bonghwa Village since being elected at the party convention in late August.

At 4 p.m. that day, Lee visited the tomb of former President Roh in Bongha Village, Gimhae, and paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Kwon Yang-sook, the party's chief spokesperson Choi In-ho announced.

Mrs. Kwon encouraged Lee, saying, "You took on the leadership during difficult times, and I feel reassured that you are leading the party well."

In response, Lee said, "I am greeting you today after attending to the difficult livelihoods due to COVID-19. We will repay the people as a competent party that achieves the recovery of livelihoods."
