The fire was completely extinguished within about 30 minutes by the fire brigade that responded to the report. When the fire broke out, two guests evacuated to the rooftop and were rescued, while six others escaped the motel on their own.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage, as the fire is believed to have started in a guest room.
