Seohaean Expressway Maesong Gas Station, Hand Sanitizers at Every Pump "Emergency Disaster Response System"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Korea Expressway Corporation's Maesong Service Area on the Seohaean Expressway announced on the 30th that it is maintaining an emergency response-level duty system as part of strengthened quarantine measures during the Chuseok holiday, including installing hand sanitizers at each fuel pump.

Maesong Service Area installed hand sanitizers at each fuel pump along with guidance signs, rather than limiting them to specific locations, to block the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the community. In addition, disinfection activities are frequently carried out around key areas such as restrooms.

A service area official stated, "Although the number of vehicles may decrease somewhat compared to previous years during the Chuseok holiday, more vehicles are expected to use the expressway than on regular weekends," adding, "Considering the nature of self-service fueling, we are doing our best to minimize infection anxiety."
