[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Three additional people have shown adverse reactions after receiving influenza (flu) vaccines that were suspended due to suspected exposure to room temperature during distribution.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) announced on the 30th, "There have been three additional cases of adverse reactions related to flu vaccination, bringing the total to four cases so far."

The KDCA had reported one adverse reaction case during a briefing on the 28th, but three more cases have since been added.

Among the three additional cases, one person experienced fever after vaccination, one had chills and muscle pain, and the remaining person reported bruising at the injection site.

The KDCA explained, "The first case, which complained of pain at the injection site, has shown improvement in symptoms."

Earlier, the KDCA confirmed that Shinsung Pharmaceutical violated the 'cold chain' principle by leaving the refrigerated truck door open or placing products on the floor during the delivery of flu vaccines, and suspended the national immunization program on the 21st. The total amount of vaccines currently suspended due to suspected room temperature exposure is enough for 5.78 million people.
