[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] This Chuseok, the full moon can be seen through the clouds.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 1st, there is no rain forecast on Chuseok day, so the full moon can be seen through the clouds. However, in the central region, it will gradually become cloudy around midnight, making it difficult to see the full moon.
According to the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, the moonrise times in major cities on Chuseok day are 6:20 PM in Seoul, Gwangju, and Jeju, 6:11 PM in Busan, and the moon rises 2 minutes later in Daegu.
From the day after Chuseok, some regions will experience rain. On the afternoon of the 2nd of next month, rain is expected in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and Gangwon Yeongseo; on the morning of the 3rd, in Chungcheong and Jeolla Provinces; and in the afternoon, in Jeju Island. Rain will continue in Jeju until the 4th.
As cold air strongly flows in, daytime temperatures will not rise much, especially in the central region, and are expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius. This is 1 to 2 degrees lower than the average. Depending on the strength of the cold air, the area experiencing rain may expand.
