[Photo] Nowon-gu Volunteer Center, Chuseok Celebration Senior 'Geonganghasehyo (孝) Kit Sharing Day'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu Volunteer Center (Director Yubongsang) and the Nowon Hospital United Medical Team launched the "Healthy Hae-hyo Kit Sharing Day" to celebrate Chuseok.

The Nowon-gu Hospital United Medical Team has been conducting the "Nowon-gu Hospital United Medical Volunteer Service" annually at the Nowon-gu Office auditorium. This year, due to the COVID-19 situation making it difficult to proceed, they joined forces with the Nowon-gu Volunteer Center to provide health kits to elderly residents in the district who are medically underserved instead.

Four hospitals?Nowon Eulji University Hospital, Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital, Nowon Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital, and Bang Hospital?donated items such as herbal patches, hand sanitizers, and KF masks. The Nowon-gu Volunteer Center additionally purchased medical supplies (Madecassol, bandages, roller massagers) and daily necessities (ramen, gochujang, gim), and with the participation of volunteer camp leaders and activists, produced 200 kits.

The prepared kits will be delivered contactlessly via door hangers to the homes of elderly residents who are medically underserved.
